Mia Belsky
Founder
Mia Belsky, MSEd, BCBA is our founder.. Mia has dedicated her life to working with children with a variety of learning differences. She first worked as a state licensed Special Education teacher, a Special Education Lead Teacher sitting on a diagnostic team, and a Private School Principal. Ultimately, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Mia is originally from Montreal and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from McGill University.
After moving to the United States, she earned her Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education from the University of Wisconsin, and certification as a School Administrator and Supervisor from John’s Hopkins University. She earned her BCBA from Clemson University. Mia is a Florida State Certified teacher in Exceptional Education PreK-12, Autism Spectrum Disorder, General Education K-6, and Social Sciences 6-12. She also holds Florida State Certification in School Administration and Supervision. Mia believes that all children can and want to learn. She believes that regardless of ability, all children have the right to learn what their same aged peers have the opportunity to learn.
She believes in the use of a wide variety of strategies and methods to reach that goal, that it is the job of the educator to use those to uncover how a child learns best, and structure learning so that every child can meet their absolute potential. Mia has seen tremendous success leading teachers to achieve this through the use of award-winning curriculum, technology, differentiated instruction and a commitment to hands-on leadership.
